The Mobil Rarus 426 oils are recommended for single and multi-stage air compressors. They are particularly suitable for applications that work continuously at high temperatures. The maximum compression air temperature according to DIN 51506 is 220C. They can be used in piston and screw compressors, where the lower viscosity class is mainly used in the rotating types. The Mobil Rarus 426 oils are recommended for installations with a history of strong oil ageing, poor operation of valves and strong build-up of deposits. Rarus 426 is compatible with all applied metals in the construction of compressors and with elastomers that are compatible with mineral oils used in seals, O-rings and gaskets. The Mobil Rarus 426 oils are not recommended and are not intended for use in air compressors for respirators.
The use of the Mobil Rarus 426 lubricants can result in cleaner compressors and lower deposits compared to conventional mineral oils, so that the intervals between maintenance intervals can be extended. The excellent oxidation and thermal stability make it possible to extend the life in a safe way by minimizing the build-up of dirt and deposits.
